I recently read that Laifen developed a 110,000 RPM motor for their hair dryers. That’s insane! Does anyone know how they managed to achieve such high speeds in such a compact consumer device?

What impressed me is that they developed the motor in-house instead of outsourcing. That gives them control over performance, noise levels, and durability. I saw they use aerospace-grade materials for the rotor and bearings to handle the stress. Also, the motor control system uses real-time feedback to stay stable even at peak speed.
